A Head Chef role is available at a high volume, fresh food restaurant in Sheffield
A privately owned restaurant is seeking a Head Chef to run the kitchen at the venue including leading the team of six chefs from the front. The menus at the restaurant feature a wide selection of sharing plates, chargrilled food and rustic dishes with a Brasserie restaurant feel which is proving popular with a wide range of customers resulting in 100+ covers being served at peak times. As Head Chef you will be expected to bring your own innovative ideas to the menus to showcase the flair that you have in the kitchen which you will be required to train your team on too. As this is a HOD role you will be responsible for all areas of kitchen management including paperwork; implementation of hygiene legislation; financial performance; rotas; ordering and stock management.
An experienced Head Chef who has trained in award winning, AA Rosette or Michelin recognised kitchens in their career resulting in an excellent all round knowledge of the kitchen and an up to date awareness of current cooking trends is needed for this role. All chefs should have good organisational skills who is able to have the kitchen fully prepped for busy service times in order to ensure that the department runs smoothly.
