A fantastic hotel in Norfolk has a role available for a Pastry Chef to join the kitchen team
A Pastry Chef role is available at a multi-AA Rosette awarded hotel where you will be responsible for the pastry output from the kitchen. The pastry section is in a separate, fully equipped room to the hot kitchen where you will be creating the ‘a la carte’ desserts for the award winning restaurant as well as catering for the high volume afternoon tea trade which is a very popular service at the property. As Pastry Chef you will work closely with the Head Chef in order to have an input on the menus; help with the development of the junior chefs and create strong links with local suppliers. This is an ideal role for an ambitious Pastry Chef who truly wishes to make their own mark on a property.
An experienced Pastry Chef or a very strong, ambitious Pastry Chef de Partie who is already used to running a busy section but feels capable to full control of the pastry output would be suitable for this role. All chefs must have been working in properties with at least one AA Rosette but will ideally have worked to two AA Rosette level previously. A creative chef who is up to date with current cooking trends would be ideal.
