A Sous Chef role is available at a high volume dining hotel located in Lincoln
The Head Chef of a busy hotel is seeking to recruit a Sous Chef to work closely with them in the kitchen. The venue has a high volume restaurant serving up to 150 covers with company wide menus, although there is freedom to create specials, this role of Sous Chef will focus your time on the restaurant service. As a senior member of the kitchen team you will be expected to help lead the kitchen team of six junior chefs as well as taking on the responsibility of regularly running service and assisting with the kitchen management.
The role needs an experienced Sous Chef who has been working in high volume, fresh food kitchens ideally within hotels but restaurant backgrounds will also be considered. All chefs must be comfortable closely following food specifications whilst also ensuring the junior chefs are fully aware of the standards expected. A strong team manager who can lead from the front is necessary for this role.
