A country hotel located in commutable distance of York has a Sous Chef position available in the kitchen
A Sous Chef position is available at a country hotel that has a high volume dining department that includes restaurant, lounge/ bar and banqueting. In this role of Sous Chef you will be expected to bring strength to the kitchen in order to assist the Head Chef with their ambitions to further build its reputation for dining including working towards gaining two AA Rosettes in the restaurant. As this is a senior role in the kitchen you will be cooking but also taking on additional responsibilities including carrying out kitchen admin, supervising the junior chefs, running service times and bringing ideas to the menus for new dishes.
A Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef who has been working in kitchens accredited with a minimum of one AA Rosette for the restaurant where you were also catering for plenty of large functions. The role needs a chef with good all round cooking skills who is also a confident team leader with the skills needed to fully support the Head Chef with their role.
